Bereavement Advice Centre

The Bereavement Advice Centre is a free helpline and web-based information service. They give practical information, advice and signposting on many issues and procedures that face us after the death of a loved one. If they can’t answer a concern or query they will research it and call you back within an agreed period of time.

The Bereavement Register

The Bereavement Register was launched in 2000 to help remove the names of people who have died from databases and therefore greatly reduce direct mail which is sent after someone has died.

The service is now used to screen over 70% of all direct mail sent within the UK.

The Cinnamon Trust

Cinnamon Trust is a specialist charity which aims to relieve the anxieties, problems, and sometimes injustices, faced by elderly and terminally ill people and their pets, thereby saving a great deal of human sadness and animal suffering. It aims to respect and preserve the treasured relationship between owners and their pets.

The Cinnamon Trust also provides long term care for pets whose owners have died or moved to residential accommodation which will not accept pets. Arrangements are made between owners and the Trust well in advance, so owners do have peace of mind in the knowledge that their beloved companion will have a safe and happy future.

Cruse Bereavement Care is a national charity for bereaved people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They offer support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies.

Penhaligon's Friends

Penhaligon’s Friends are a Cornish charity supporting bereaved children, young people, parents and carers. They offer children and young people the chance to meet others and share their experiences, as well as practical resources for children and parents.
